I'm always sending special cards just because but one in particular was given to my Mom when she was battling lymphoma and things were very uncertain. It was about keeping faith and hanging in there through adversity. It was very thoughtful and moving and it gave her that extra push to continue (and win) such a terrible fight.

My husband had taken a surprise day off work for our anniversary. I came home from work to a candlelit dinner, that he cooked. There was a special card on the table about how much he loves me. He always picks out the best cards. We didn't do anything huge this year because next year we celebrate 5 years. Thanks for giveaway!

We recently received a Congratulations on Your Engagement card from my Fiance's grandparents and it came at the perfect moment because their son, my Fiance's Dad, is against us getting married. It was nice to know that there are some people rooting for us!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful stationery!

My mom loves sending us cards for all occasions and holidays. One day, she sent one to me and printed on the card was "To my wonderful son and daughter-in-law", and handwrote "opps! didn't realize it when I picked it up!" on the card. Needless to say, it brought us many laughs. :)

My great-aunt Callie lives way out in the country and doesn't have a computer. For as long as I can remember she has been sending letters to my grandmother, my father and now me. I love getter her hand written letters.
ReplyDeleteI love to send cards out of nowhere thinking they just might make someone's day. My aunt used to do this when I was in college. It was so awesome to get one when I was away from home and feeling lonely!
ReplyDeleteI have received quite a few cards at just the right moment. Just thinking of you cards are really nice. I have a friend that only sends Christmas cards and one year, out of the blue, she sent a card in the middle of the year. So nice.

I have a dear friend who always seems to know when I need a pick me up. The last card she sent included a scripture that hit the nail on the head and I think of it everyday.
ReplyDeleteI once gave a friend a homemade personalized bridal shower card that she loved! It really stood out in the sea of store bought cards.

When my 1st son was born, I received a card from a former co-worker. Based on the day & time she wrote the card (her lunch hour), she was writing the note exactly at the moment he was born!
