Savvy Blogging Summit: A Renewed Passion

Picture 074 - 1

I have definitely been MIA since last week, and honestly, even before that mentally. If you haven't figured out where I've been from my post about the Great Beginning to the Savvy Blogging Summit, you should read that first.

I cannot think of a more beautiful and relaxing (although it was hectic) place to have spent the weekend than the mountains in Breckenridge! The weather was amazing, and waking up each day to a gorgeous view and crisp, cool weather, gave me clarity of mind before I was loaded with information.

All I could think about was going hiking, but besides not having the time, I'd probably pass out from lack of oxygen! However, there was one evening where I got to walk around with Karen from Saving the Family Money, which was fun and refreshing. I love being out in nature and sometimes where I am, you just don't have that opportunity because of the hot and humid weather.

The hotel was amazing and the food was great. Every blogger was so sweet and transparent. I really felt like I was leaving my family when we separated. The relationships that were formed will hopefully be long term friendships. I had an amazing time getting to know all these ladies:

Reesa from Suburban Tree Hugger, Debba from Girlfriendology, Shannon from Living Life at Home, Stephanie from Keeper of the Home and Saving Naturally, Lauren from Mama's Laundry Talk (also a RN!), Taya from Simply Frugal, Janna from The Adventure of Motherhood and Mommy's Piggy Tales, Jami from An Oregon Cottage, Robyn from Our Homeschool Home, Dana from A Slob Comes Clean, Megan from Half Pint House, Kacy from Valuing Today, Tonya from Live the Adventure, Brandy from Savin' Some, The Coupon High Mommie, and many more that I don't have cards for.

Each day, we had early starts and got right into our classes. There was so much information, that I am going to have to listen and read over it again. I have to say that all the speakers were fantastic, and all the courses were pertinent and relayed lots of new information that I'd never even considered as a blogger. I have so many things to mull over, I can't even begin to explain them.

What I can say, is that I have a renewed passion for my blog that was beginning to fade before this past weekend, and I desperately seek to follow where the Lord leads me. He has brought me to this point, given me the opportunity to attend the Savvy Blogging Summit and is pushing me forward. Nothing has been random. I truly believe that it is part of His purpose for me, and what else can I do but follow His will?

Thanks you so much to the Savvy Blogging hostesses and sponsors who made this event possible. I am very honored and thankful to have been one of the first attendees of this event.

  6. Allisabeth, I'm so glad you came and just took the experience and soaked it all in!! I love seeing people inspired to do something more with their blogs. It's easy to lose the fire with the craziness of life. I know I came away even more inspired and ready to do more of what God wants!!

    {And, Crystal is the "water-works" one in our group...totally :) }

  7. It was so nice to meet you and to think we're almost 'neighbors'...well, maybe not, but now I know a blogger from the same state I'm in!:)

    I went to the conference thinking that maybe I needed to shelf my blog, but it turned out to be just the inspiration I needed as well!

    Love your thought that nothing is random,how true that is! I also feel that the Lord has been nudging me forward...one step at a time.

    Blessings to you!:)
