Savings Saturday

I have been to Target way too many times this week! On the other hand, I didn't go to CVS or Walgreens, just Rite Aid for some diapers and some other things. I really didn't need any groceries either, so I just stocked up on some of the B1G1 deals and purchased in hopes of getting the Unilever Rebate.

Publix:
Spent: 64.55
Saved: 36.88 - 36%
Hope to get $10 Gift Card for Unilever Deal (Got boxed diapers and 2 TP)

Rite Aid:
These shops were for Pure and Natural Huggies (my $1 video values expired 1/31, so I wanted to use it. Plus for Feb, there is a $3 SCR, plus my $2.50 MQ - 5.49/pk), Cottonelle TP and the Maybelline.

Spent: 17.25
Saved: 16.34 - 49%
Receive: $5 back

Target: (I have to confess this is an estimate, but I'm pretty sure it is accurate. It was a windy night and I had my receipt in my hand, walked out the door and the wind whipped it right out of my hand! It was one of those movie moments!)

This included 4 large bottles of Tide Stain Release, 2 Greenworks Laundry Detergent and 6 Electrasol Detergent tabs! Also, I did the Huggies diaper deal, because we were completely out!

Spent: 57.48
Saved: 54.00 - 48%

Total Spent: 139.28
Total Saved: 107.22 - 43%

I should be set for a while on toilet paper and diapers! Also, I am in no need of cereal any time soon! I'm hoping to get by for a few weeks on less than my budget and less OOP.

Walgreens 1/31

Walgreens has too many freebies this week! That can be a good, or bad thing! I have some RR to use this week, so not quite sure what I'll do, but I'm going to try to keep my OOP low.

Target Deal

Along with the Electrasol detergent deal I posted about here, you can find a couple other good deals this week.

Tide Stain Release is on sale for $5.99. This is the larger sizes in various forms. Pair the 36oz liquid (my personal preference) up with the $3 off coupon from the 12/27 Proctor and Gamble and you have more than the smaller one, for a little cheaper!

Also, Clorox Greenworks 60 load liquid is on sale for $12.99. If you use the $3 off printable, it makes it $9.99 for 60 loads. I looked at Publix for the Advantage Buy deal, and you'd have to buy 2 of the 30 loads there WITH BOTH your coupons for the same price as 1 larger one at Target. Why not go to Target and buy twice as much?!

Don't forget to use your reusable bag for your .05 credit! I know it's not much, but it's something.

View more Target deals for this week, here.

Cheap Toilet Paper

Rite Aid has a good deal on toilet paper and Maybelline mascara this week.

Quilted Northern is $6.49 for a 12 pack.
-Go here and watch the video for Quilted Northern and get a $2 store coupon. If you watch so many videos, you get a $5/$20 coupon, which is great for those awesome sale weeks (not this week).
-Go here and print the $1 Quilted Northern MQ (on the left, click 'Household'), or look for one in the 1/24 Smart Source insert in your Sunday paper.
= 3.49/12 pack

Maybelline Cosmetics are 40% off.
Colossal Mascara in the yellow tube, for me, was $7.39 on sale for $4.43.
-Go here and watch the video for Maybelline and get a $1 off mascara coupon.
-$1 off Maybelline mascara in the 1/10 Red Plum insert in your Sunday paper.
-$2 Single Check Rebate, you must sign up. (Don't cash in your check til the end of the month! You can only get one check for the whole month's purchases! This rebate is for FEBRUARY, so you have a ways to go.) - THIS IS A LIMIT OF 1 REBATE!
=$0.43 for a tube of mascara!

If you want more mascara, $3.43 is still a good price!

I did this deal today and spent $7.56 OOP and will get $2.00 back. For toilet paper and makeup, that is awesome!

Outback Rewards Program

I just found a new rewards program!

Outback has a new rewards program linked with Tim McGraw called My Outback Rewards. You earn points by eating at the restaurant and get the chance to win concert tickets, memorabilia and other things. When you sign up, you get 250 points and I also got a coupon for a free appetizer with 2 entree purchases (exp 2/28!)! I guess I know what I'll be cashing my MyPoints in for!

The rewards codes will be printed on the bottom of your receipt, so look out for it, and make sure you grab it! It seems as though points are based on your subtotal.

I'm hoping that they'll expand this to being able to use your points to receive gift cards and not enter a sweepstakes to win one. That kind of stinks.

Also, if you dine on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday, you get double reward points!

Free Photobook from Shutterfly ($4.99 shipping)

For all you photo book lovers out there, here is a deal for you! CODE EXPIRES 1/26!!! Make sure you go through Ebates first, to get your 10% cash back.

Get a 20 page 7x9 photo book for the price of shipping.

1. Log in to your account, or create one.
2. Click 'My account' at the top.
3. Under 'Special Offers', click 'enter special promo code'.
4. Enter READYMADEBOOK in the box that pops up.

The offer will be saved in your account and when you put the photo book in your cart, it should automatically apply the saved coupon, leaving you with $4.99 for shipping!

The Frugal Map

If you are looking for a blog that is written by someone in your area, specific stores you have available or just a particular category, there is an awesome new site for you! The Frugal Map is a searchable map where you can find your perfect blog match! The site is pretty new, and there is a decent number of blogs listed, but I am sure that there will be many more to come!

Check it out, and enter the giveaways being offered there too! You could win 1 of 2 $50 Amazon gift cards, or 1 of 5 year subscriptions to All You, the best magazine out there for coupons!

Thanks, Ariel!

2 Hot Target Finds

I went to Target this morning to try to get some diapers with the MQ and SQ. That didn't work out. However, I perused the aisle ends for clearance deals. I found two.

Electrasol Finish 20ct tabs $3.05
-$2.50 MQ
=$0.55 each!

Almay Pure Blends Eye Shadow (small squares) - individual and bonus packs of two.
These were marked $3.18, but I got a bonus pack and it rang up $1.58!!!
-$1.00 Almay Eye Color MQ
=$0.58 for 2 eye shadows!

There were also various other beauty items, including Pantene for around $2, and lots of different makeups, including Neutrogena ($2 coupon out there), and nail polishes.

For some other Target coupons available, go here.

*Crib and Stroller Recalls*

If you are the owner of a Graco Passage, Alano, or Spree stroller or travel system, there is currently a recall out for a possible laceration or finger amputation caused by the hinge of the canopy.

Info on the models and stores affected by this recall, here.

Also, if you own a Dorel Asia crib purchased from Kmart, Walmart, and Sears, there is also a recall on these because of the drop down sides. Info on this recall, here.

This website also has a slide show of major children's hazard recalls, so scroll through!

In a Cooking Funk

I have no clue what is going on with me lately. It seems like since Thanksgiving, I have had no desire to cook during the week. I don't know whether it is the weather being cold, not being able to go outside as much, having too much other stuff going on, or just the lack of desire to cook. I have been making menus, but it seems like I forget to thaw something out or I just am not interested in what I have planned to have. Maybe I need to get the quick recipe cookbook my mom mentioned to me last week!

I can't tell you how many times we've had breakfast for dinner lately! Thankfully, my husband doesn't mind since he doesn't get a big breakfast other than the weekends. I know that if Spring comes, I'll be refreshed and ready to go. It always has that affect on me. I guess I have the winter blah's or something. Come on Spring!!! (I know, I've got 2 months!)

Target Clearance

Walking through Target today, it seemed like THE place to be! Other than the 'super value deals', which really are not good values!!

There are so many items on clearance right now. There is a whole 1/2 aisle dedicated to baby items. This includes Goodnight boxers for $5, blankets from $5-8, onesies, sleepers, blanket sleepers, an Eddie Bauer car seat and much more. There are also huge clearances in curtains, rugs, tablecloths, bedding, bath and children's bedding. Picture frames seemed to have almost a 1/2 aisle of clearance. There is also a row of toy clearances.

Most items had huge 30% clearance signs, so check it out now, but maybe also check back to see if they go on further clearance.
