Plain Paradise is the fourth book in the Daughters of the Promise series, by Beth Wiseman. I have previously read and reviewed Plain Pursuit, here on my blog. Even if you haven't read the other books in this series, it is not necessary, although some characters from previous stories do appear in the story.
Plain Paradise is the story of 17 year old Linda, who was raised by Amish parents and never knew she had been adopted. Linda's birth mother, Josie, is dying, and feels the need to reconnect with the daughter she was forced to give up so many years ago.
Upon meeting her birth mother and trying to form a relationship, Linda's fears and relationships are tested. Her adoptive family also faces their own fears and struggles as Linda becomes drawn to Josie and is tempted to try things of the outside world. Only God can work in the hearts of those struggling to accept the situation and only he can give the healing that is truly needed.
I highly recommend the books in this series. As always, I love Amish books, and this one is no different!
